Falkland Sound to Plymouth Sound
An Open Space special presentation of a play about war - and the reactions of an audience with a great personal investment in that war.
I cannot think of a single war in Britain's history which has been so Pointless', wrote
Lt David Tinker RN, shortly before he was killed in action aboard HMS Glamorgan in the Falklands War. His experiences - and those of others caught up in the events of 1982 - are dramatised in Falkland Sound/Voces de Malvinas. Though initially banned from this naval town still sensitive about its losses-the Royal Court production eventually arrived at the Serenade Theatre, giving the people of Plymouth the opportunity to see and comment on it.
