Jane and Cathy, two nurses on a cycling holiday in France, notice a sinister-looking man in a village cafe. Shortly afterwards, when
Cathy disappears at the site of an unsolved murder, the stranger turns up, offering Jane assistance. and claiming to be a detective. But is he really with the police, or is he involved with the murder as Jane suspects?
