Brazilian Grand Prix
After months of mid-winter testing the heat will really be on as the leading contenders line up for the opening race of the 1987 season. The sweltering conditions will put driver fitness at a premium.
Just two drivers have been on the winner's podium in the last five years - Brazil's own Nelson Piquet in 1983 and last year's victor and reigning World Champion,
Alain Prost in 1982, 1984, 1985. Britain's Nigel Mansell will be looking for a winning start to this season after coming so close last year, and Ayrton Senna, in the new Lotus, will be looking for his first win in his home Grand Prix.
