Tonight's subject in the series tracing the history of an ordinary home through its previous and current owners is a ground-floor tenement flat in Glasgow.
The comings and goings of its various tenants - including an communist activist, a champion racing driver and two Irish musicians - are related by Betty Keith , a redoubtable octogenarian nicknamed "the stairguardian" by fellow residents, who has lived in the flat at the bottom of the staircase for 45 years.
