Originally scarred by her childhood experiences with men,
Gloria decides that they will never 'use' her again - 'I pick the man, he doesn't pick me.' Her highly successful career as a model makes this eminently possible. One day she encounters the handsome and wealthy Weston Liggett and both their lives are thrown off course. This feature won Elizabeth Taylor her first Academy Award.
