Fifth of eight programmes on the mammals of Britain.
Red, roe and fallow are all native species of deer. Stalking the 'Monarch of the Glen' in Scotland may be fun but it is not the best or easiest way of seeing a good red stag. Drive through London's Richmond Park, however, and you'll come close to both red and fallow. But to see a roe deer you'll need your wits about you - either that, or a plentiful supply of roses!
