The ancient book is still missing, much to the Doctor’s annoyance, and he confronts Skagra, who has got hold of the book, for the first time.
The Doctor manages to escape the clutches of the Sphere by pretending to be stupid while Romana and Parsons, with the help of K9 try to track him down.
Skagra realises that by turning the last page of the book it will take him to Shada. Meanwhile the Doctor, Parsons and K9 arrive on Shada and the Doctor meets Salyavin.
The Doctor finally realises Skagra’s evil plan and manages to escape from the Krargs. And Keightley reveals what she has found out to Parsons.
