compiled by Sir Arthur Lambert
In this series, well-known men and women of the North-East are personally presenting the music they love.
Three times Lord Mayor of Newcastle, and a driving force behind the promotion of the highly successful North-East Coast Exhibition in 1929, Sir Arthur Lambert is very well known for his public work on Tyneside.
In the world of.music, too, Sir Arthur Lambert has a wide reputation as an enthusiastic amateur - in the real sense of the word. Possessor of a good baritone voice, his motto has always been, 'Say it with a Song!' He is an inspiring leader of community singing, and for many years was Conductor of the Newcastle Y.M.C.A. Choral Society.
