A broadcast from Roker Park, Sunderland by John Polwarth, Sal Sturgeon, Ewart Kempson.

Last year more than 15,000 people passed through Roker Park each evening. One night the officials had to cope with a crowd of 37,000. On the occasion of the last broadcast it was impossible for the commentator to move through the crowd quickly enough to describe everything in the time given. So in an attempt to avoid the same dilemma this year three commentators, stationed at different points, will try to do justice to this scene, which can justly be described as the peak point of Sunderland's holiday season.
