A programme of reminiscences of the old Beach Pavilion, Aberdeen, with Dan Williams (comedian)
Juliette McLean (soubrette)
Willie Johnson (tenor)
A. M. Shinnie
Robertson and Pirie (cross-talk)
The Albury Singers
Nan Davidson (at the piano) and Violet Davidson
One of the popular features of these shows is Violet Davidson 's old-time medlev in which listeners are asked to join with the audience in singing some of the hits of times gone by. Tonight Violet Davidson will include a medley of war-time favourites.
On the outbreak of war on August
4, 1914, the old Beach Pavilion was commandeered for billeting soldiers and was used for this purpose for about a month. The concert party then resumed its work.
