'For 'tis your thoughts that now must deck our Kings,
Carry them here and there ; jumping o'er times,
Turning th' accomplishment of many years
Into an hour-glass
The programme devised by J. D. Mackie and John Gough
Production by John Gough
' The Line of Kings', which was Scotland's chief contribution to the broadcast Silver Jubilee celebrations, is being revived as a prelude to the entry of Their Majesties King George VI and Queen Elizabeth into Edinburgh tomorrow. The programme is intended to show the continuity of the lineage of Their
Majesties from the time of Malcolm Canmore. The task of covering adequately some nine hundred years of royal history in less than an hour is, of course, an impossible one. By an adroit use of proclamation, narration, and quotation, together with music and sound effect it is confidently expected, however, that a thrilling impression in sound will be attainable.
