Mr. S. L. MCKINLAY : 'Golf'
(From Glasgow)
MR. S. L. MCKINLAY , who comes to the microphone today for the first time, must be extremely well-known to anyone who takes even the slightest interest in golf. He has played in eleven international matches for Scotland since 1929 and has been three times asked to hold himself in readiness to play for Britain against America in the Walker Cup international match, having been a ' possible ' in 1930, and first reserve for the team which visited America in 1932. Nevertheless, he indignantly refutes any suggestions that golf is his work, preferring to be known as a newspaper man.
