The mystery of this little play centres on a magnificent marrow which disappears on the eve of a flower show. Frank Crosland , the author, who, like F. A. Carter , comes from the Huddersfield district, is an expert writer and speaker of Yorkshire dialect. He has acted in a number of broadcast dialect plays and a one-act play of his, Uncle Ben , was on the Northern air in 1936.
