Foden's is probably the most famous brass band in the world-and there is no ' probably ' about it if you ask after the band in Sandbach, the Cheshire town near Elworth, the village in which the motor works is situated. The bandsmen are idols in that part of the world. As for the band, it has won top places at the Crystal Palace and Belle Vue time after time ; it has played before Royalty; has toured abroad; and maintains such a high standard that concert bookings are often seasons ahead.
