A discussion between
Morton McClure and James McQuitty
Is it better that an Ulster boy, who will probably earn his livelihood in his own country when he grows up, should be educated in his own country or in Great Britain ? Obviously there is a wider choice of schools and types of education across the water than there is in Northern Ireland ; on the other hand, it may be argued that the education available in Northern Ireland is more specifically suited to the needs of its people, and is no less adequate.
The theme is provocative, offering opportunities for lively discussion.
It will be discussed tonight by two young Ulstermen, one of whom has been educated at an Ulster school and the other at an English school.
