H. Foster Clark , who is the BBC's Midland Music Director, is leaving in August for two years to study Continental music and its presentation. As conductor, his experience has ranged from village choir work to Hiawatha, at Queen's Hall and The Rose and the Ring at West End theatres. 
He shares the conducting of the BBC Midland Orchestra with Leslie Heward and Reginald Burston.
