Mr. Sewell, who broadcast last year on pigeon-flying, has been President of the Derbyshire Championship Club and Vice-President of the Derbyshire South Yorkshire Federation. He is a Vice-President of the National Homing Union. The scheme for supplying special weather forecasts on the day of the race was originated by him and has been of great value to pigeon-flying.
