This band has played at numerous holiday resorts. In 1932 it provided music twice daily for the fortnight's run of the Royal Tournament at Olympia. Mr. Thornburrow, the conductor, was appointed in 1931, after studying for three years at Kneller Hall , where he won the Silver Medal of the Worshipful Company of Musicians.
