F.R. Buckley: First Night Impressions of the Malvern Festival

Malvern Dramatic Festival has established by Sir Barry Jackson in 1929. The Apple Cart and The Barretts of Wimpole Street had their premieres there. This year John Drinkwater's play A Man's House will be given for the first time. F.R. Buckley, who records his impressions of the opening night, is Film Critic of the Birmingham Evening Despatch. He won the O. Henry Prize for a short story in the States, and has written several novels.
