EPILOGUE
The action takes place in a pleasant field beside the ancient Abbey Church and beneath one of the grandest Norman towers in existence whose bells will ring as in the great days of old. Between the audience and the players runs a brook, whose waters must often have been dyed with blood on that terrible day when Queen Margaret's broken army fled in panic through these quiet meadows. Tewkesbury Pageant is an epic of English History done in green English fields with a background whose ancient stones have looked down on so many of the momentous scenes of our national story.
Musical Interludes between the Pageant Scenes will be given from the Studio by MAURICE UDLOFF'S ARTISTRIO
