Kerridge. who has planned this novel series as an imaginary voyage from Spain to Japan, passing, as far as is possible, through adjacent territories. Political frontiers are ignored in favour of racial groups, and so the music of Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey is grouped under the heading of Caucasia.
