Anthem
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on The darkness is no darkness with Thee, but the night is as clear as the day; the darkness and light to Thee are both alike.
God is light and in Him is no darkness at nil; O let my soul live and it shall praise Thee! For Thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory, for evermore. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed en Thee.
Address by the Very Rev. ALBERT VICTOR BAILLIE, C.V.O., Dean of Windsor
The Blessing
At the end of the service the following sentences will be sung to John Marbeck 's melodies:
The hour cometh and now it is when true worshippers shall worship the Father in epirit and truth.
If any man will follow me, let him forsake himself, and take up his cross and follow me. 'Whosoever shall endure unto the end, he shall be saved.
John Marberk was lay clerk and organist at St. George's Chapel, and prepared the first Book of Common Prayer noted' in 1550. The two sentences to be sung are to be found among the ' Post Communion' sentences in that book.
