Cast:
THIS clever study of London life was first produced in 1904 by the Stage Society and afterwards by Sir George Alexander. The principal part, 'Amanda Atnick,' was created by Miss Hilda Trevelyan , who has played it with great success all over England.
The scene is laid in Mme. Didier's laundry in Soho, and the characterization of the Cockney work-girls is remarkable for its humour and pathos.
It is Saturday evening before an August Bank Holiday. Mme. Didier is ironing, Hose Jordan is making up parcels of linen, and Clem and Celeste are working in other parts of the room.
