A Naughty Nautical Night
[Starring] The Valve Set Concert Party
A kind-of-a-sort-of-a Revue in Two Wriggles.
First Wriggle
Concocted by Sidney Evans.
The Skipper and his crew come aboard, hoist their slacks, sails, etc., sing a chanty or two and sail away. The crew break forth into song, then into mutiny, and hoist the Jolly Roger. The first wriggle concludes with a slight bit of bother in which they capture a ship.
Second Wriggle: Great Snakes
Book by Herbert C. Sargent.
Montague Miff fears nothing on earth save one thing only - snakes!
He has come to sea to dodge his pet aversion, but by ill-luck captures a Concert Party containing a Snake Charmer, together with her lover, the Tenor, and a chest containing a bundle of serpents. Driven overboard by the reptiles, Miff is allowed to return provided he turns over a new leaf. He agrees to reform provided that the pets are locked up. Finally the Snake Charmer weds the Tenor and Miff decides to buy a farm and live a quiet life ashore.
