The train will leave Auckland at 8.22 p.m. and proceed to Rotorua - the region of the Thermal Springs - thence through Taranaki (The Garden Province) to New Plymouth tend Wellington; from Wellington (by steamer) to Picton; thence by train to Nelson; through the Canterbury Sheep Plains to Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill.
