Ships are not and cannot be mass produced, but the methods of building them change from generation to generation. Today many processes are more mechanised than they used to be. What difference does this make to men and ships on the Tyne ? This is to be discussed by two men of great experience. N. M. Hunter is a director of a great shipbuilding firm. William West wood is the general secretary of the Ship Constructors' and Shipwrights' Association.
