When in 1810 a new theatre was to be opened at Pesth with a patriotic play called Hungary's at Pesth with a patriotic play called Hungarys
First Benefactor, Beethoven wrote the incidental music for it.
In the opening theme of the Overture we may detect the Hungarian idiom.
