Mind Picture : The entire action takes place in the Smiths' sitting room. This has a riotous air of being en fete ; antimacassars and even the bird cage are decorated with bright ribbons. The table is partly laid for tea and Mrs. Smith is bustling around, her arms full of paper decorations, endeavouring to find some space still unadorned.
