OUR reception of the various officials who (for our good) descend from time to time on our homes will surely be more sympathetic if we have a clearer knowledge of why, exactly, they are sent. Mrs. Raekham's talk, this afternoon, is designed to toll us when and why committees send their officials—the health visitor, the sanitary inspector, the school nurse, or the school attendance officer, the rate collector, and so on.
