He describes the movement culminating in the Parliamentary Reform Bill of 1832, and the respective rôles of Tories, Whigs, Radicals, and the Chartists. Lastly ho describes the Manchester triumph in the Repeal of the Corn Laws and the general conditions prevalent in England about 1850.
