Dr. Dale chose the wrong moment to ask Dr. Robertson if he could be spared from the practice in order to go to America with Mrs. Dale. Dr. Robertson refused to consider it and Dr. Dale returned home crestfallen—to find that in the meantime Sally had persuaded Mrs. Dale to cable her acceptance. There is general alarm, but Dr. Robertson relents and Dr. Dale telephones to say that he will be able to go after all.
