'Tangled Parachute'
Written by Richard Townshend Bickers
The Dakota aircraft from which Jumpmaster Lieutenant Osipoff had just despatched two sticks' of parachutists, was flying at a low altitude over San Diego, California. While pushing out the last cargo container a vicious tongue of air suddenly snatched him out into space. His statichute opened and wrapped itself around the tail wheel. He hung there suspended, his own life and that of the single pilot in the aircraft in terrible jeopardy.
