Mrs. Mountford made a new will, leaving everything to Dr. Dale. Mrs. Dale persuaded her to agree to go into the nursing home when she came out of hospital. Mrs. O'Doherty was the victim of a serious street accident when a lorry overturned into an area, and she was trapped beneath it. Dr. Dale, who was passing, climbed underneath the lorry to give her an injection, and courageously insisted on staying with her until the lorry could be moved, although there was constant danger of it falling further. Sally offered Caradoc a job as Fulton's chauffeur while he was awaiting his trial.
