Repeated on Tuesday at 11.15 a.m.
Mrs. Dale telephoned Sue Douglas 's mother and told her Sue was ill; Mrs. Douglas came up to Parkwood Hill and took Sue back to Devon with her, but Sue was determined to come back when she was better and go on with her job at the garage. Mr. Haynes arrived at the Sutherland, obviously very unwell; Dr. Dale, who was called to attend him, found he was seriously ill and sent him to hospital, where he died next day. A post mortem showed that death was due to a blood clot, which might have been caused by a blow on the head. Dr. and Mrs. Dale were very worried about the fight he had with Caradoc.
