The Commonwealth of Tomorrow
6—' Facing the Future ' by Sir Norman Angell
The speaker suggests two practical measures to safeguard the future of the British Commonwealth. One is the increase of manpower by immigration to assist the development of her natural resources; the other is closer co-operation between the governments of the eight independent member states. To illustrate these points, he recalls the growth of America in the last century and his own experiences as an immigrant there.
