Later, Pat and Jess are enjoying a well-earned break from their rounds. Jess goes inside a tree trunk chasing after a bird, and Pat follows. Jess comes out of the top, but Pat is stuck in the tree. Jess rushes off for help. 

Pat tries to attract the attention of various passers-by on the road, but because of the position of the tree, no-one can see him. Jess teams up with Bonnie and they try to get help, but no-one can understand them. 

Pat remembers the dog whistle and blows it. Bonnie goes hurtling off, followed by Jess and everyone else. Pat is pulled from the tree by all his friends and thanks them for rescuing him.
