The girls take advice on the design of their soapbox racer from last year's winners of the event, a team of design students from Glasgow, and try out their winning machine. 

There can only be one driver, with the other having to be the mechanic, so to decide the girls are put through a rigorous set of lessons. Fran and Ania then have to build their own soapbox racer before travelling to Northern Ireland to race their machine in a national competition.

Prehistoric fantasy. 12-year-old Pitt and his pterodactyl pal Kantrop try to help their tribe. Prosper's ability as a shaman is questioned. To regain prestige, and food offerings, he predicts a curse on the tribe, and stages evidence of a rampaging monster. Once Prosper is back in favour with everyone, except Pitt who figured out the hoax, he dispels the creature for a good price. 

Pitt then discovers a giant crocodile and warns his tribe, but they don't believe him. How can Pitt get his overconfident tribe out of harm's way?
