Katrina Houseman has arrived at MI High. She has been working on a top-secret project: N80, a real-life neanderthal! She needs the spies' help. N80 has been broken out of his cage. Katrina thinks that the Uzhmanis stole him. They plan to take N80 and clone him to create an army of fighting neanderthals. The possibility doesn't bear thinking about. 

The spies set to work. They must find N80. MI9 get intelligence that N80 has been sighted running along a busy street in London. Carrie and Oscar rush to retrieve him, while Rose goes to Katrina's lab to investigate further. The spies don't trust Katrina, and wonder whether she has something to do with N80's disappearance.
 
Carrie and Oscar manage to bring N80 back to HQ. Carrie and N80 immediately bond. Carrie makes him laugh and she names him Andy. 

At the lab, Rose has discovered an isotope. Andy is being tracked, but by whom? Suddenly, Andy breaks out of HQ and makes a run for it. The spies chase after him, but they're not the only ones in pursuit. The Uzhmanis are at St Hope's and they've come for Andy.

One profession that relies on the ability to memorise lots of information is weather presenting. The Sorcerer has had the theatre transformed into a professional broadcast weather studio and invited weather presenter Sian Lloyd to take the Sorcerees through their paces. 

In two hours, they must memorise and present a complex 60-second bulletin. With the storm clouds closing in, who will shine on stage?

Charlie and Innes fail to scare a deeply unimpressed Jennifer with a horror movie.

Charlie and Innes fail to scare a deeply unimpressed Jennifer with their horror movie Screaminch. A disturbing letter arrives for Scarlett, bringing with it many painful memories.

Charlie’s day starts badly when he watches “Screaminch” with Innes and Jennifer and realises that Innes has made a campy horror film out of his story about isolation and loneliness.  Jennifer delivers another blow by openly laughing at various bits of the movie. 

Realising she has hurt the boys’ feelings, Jennifer tries to backtrack by claiming she doesn’t scare easily. The boys take this as a challenge and, inspired by an eerie crying reported by Jennifer to be coming from the close, they set out a plan to scare Jen and get payback! 

Things start to go awry when Jennifer freaks out at the ‘haunting’ and tries to move out. A guilty Charlie panics and reveals all to Jennifer who is never one to take things like this lying down.  Later Innes is spooked when unexpected and strange things start to happen to him, only to discover that Jennifer and Charlie have enlisted the help of Hayley and Robbie to get some revenge on their own. With everyone now square, the students settle down to a quiet night - and even that strange crying noise Jennifer hears again is dismissed as probably just the pipes…

Jimmy is worried about Scarlett’s sleepwalking. He ties a piece of string between them in bed to alert him if she goes walkabout in the night.  Scarlett receives another letter from Michael Learmonth in prison.  She confides in Gina that Michael is implying that if she visits him in jail he would change his plea to guilty. This would mean they wouldn’t have to face him in court. Jimmy discovers the letter and is upset that Scarlett hasn’t shared it with him.  Scarlett explains that she didn’t want to upset Jimmy, and promises that she won’t go to see Michael.  Scarlett and Jimmy resolve to return the letter with the words “see you in court”.

A nervous Eileen goes for her interview for the position of manager of the community centre. Things get off to a bad start when she discovers that she has competition in the form of Murray, an experienced, community-minded teacher. When Eileen starts talking enthusiastically in her interview, she’s oblivious to the fact that she has a currant from her scone stuck between her teeth. She recovers however, and outlines her vision for the community. 

Later Eileen discovers that Murray has been offered the job and covers the fact that she is very hurt by the rejection from Gina. Murray, however, turns down the position (realising that he needs a much more hands-on role) but when Daniel eventually catches up with Eileen to offer her the job she bitterly informs him she doesn’t want to be second choice. Gina makes Eileen see she is cutting off her nose to spite her face. Eileen accepts the job only to find out that her nemesis Murray will be teaching at the centre too.

Lydia’s confidence grows as Hola goes from strength to strength following Scarlett’s help. When he finds out how well Lydia is doing without him, Lenny’s disappointed.

It's the first major international track event of the new season and all eyes will be on triple Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy, who is back competing after badly injuring his hip in a crash during a race in Copenhagen. 

Germany were crowned World Cup champions last season ahead of the Netherlands and Great Britain. Hoy and his fellow British riders will be looking to get back to the top of the podium - especially as after the gold rush of 2008's Beijing Olympics, Team GB won just two titles at the World Track Championships in March.
