Following the fortunes of more hot-shoed hopefuls from London.
Live at an as-yet unnamed shopping centre in the North of England, soprano Rebecca von Lipinski plays Sophie Faust , a career woman about to discover that success comes at a price. Featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Robert Ziegler, the opera incorporates a range of popular classical pieces by Bizet, Handel, Mozart, Offenbach, Verdi and Wagner. Adding their voices to the chorus will be members of the public who've responded to text messages sent on the day. Also starring Mark Stone and Peter Auty. Introduced by Patrick O'Connell.
