Primary Drama: Key Stage 2 offers simple-to-use drama resources for primary school children aged 7 to 11 which are linked to popular curriculum topics. The drama sessions are intended to be easy for non-specialist teachers to use, providing opportunities to extend classroom work through the exciting possibilities offered by drama activities. Each session has a carefully balanced mix of movement, speaking and listening activities and role play. The Teachers' Notes include clear instructions for how teachers can effectively organise and deliver the drama activities in each session.

Continuing the story of Eyam - the 'Plague Village'.

Continuing the story of the outbreak of plague in the village of Eyam in 1665. The villagers must decide whether to isolate themselves from the outside world.

The plague has come to Eyam and a number of the villagers have died. Rev Mompesson summons everyone to the church and says the village must agree to quarantine itself to prevent the plague from spreading. The villagers have some time to decide what they should do and whether they will agree to Rev Mompesson's plan.

After much discussion the villagers agree to the plan...but when John gets up early one morning he spies Rev Mompesson sending his own children away to ensure their safety.

Two Scottish girls who speak two different languages

Two bilingual girls from the Polish and Punjabi communities in Scotland.

In these three editions of 'Welcome to My World', we hear more about the lives of two bilingual girls from the Polish and Punjabi communities in Scotland.

Maja, whom we met in the last episode, speaks Polish and English, and Jyotpreet is from a Sikh family and speaks English and Punjabi. The girls describe what it's like to be bilingual, and if you're new to Polish or Punjabi, you'll learn a few new words and phrases too.

Each edition is approximately 5 minutes long.
 
1. For many Polish families, Easter is a big celebration. Maja describes how she and her mum bring a basket of painted eggs to church before Easter Sunday, and how the day itself begins with a hunt around her house, looking for any gifts the Easter Bunny might have brought.
 
2. Jyotpreet’s family are Indian, and they speak Punjabi at home. At school, she has lots of friends who also speak two different languages, but they have to speak English together as that’s the one language they all have in common. We’ll listen in as she chats to her family, and even if you don’t speak Punjabi, you migh be able to understand one of Jyotpreet's conversations with her mum if you listen carefully. 
 
3: Every year the Sikh community in Glasgow go on a big procession through the city called Nagar Keertan. Jyotpreet describes how she prepares for this, and she describes what she can see and hear as she takes part in the 4-mile walk – which includes prayers, lots of food and a bouncy castle!
