Mark Radcliffe pays tribute to experimental, influential and troubled singer and songwriter
Syd Barrett , who spearheaded Pink Floyd's drugs-inspired psychedelic period of the late 60s, epitomised by the 1967 classics Arnold Layne and See Emily Play. Barrett, who died a year ago, aged 60, suffered mental illness and opted out of the music scene in the early 70s. Featuring input from original Floyd members Rick Wright and Nick Mason , and David Gilmour , who replaced Barrett in 1968. Plus manager Peter Jenner and Barrett's sister Rosemary. Producer John Sugar
