Hunter Davies traces his footsteps across the globe. He visits the places associated with him, from Edinburgh,
Bournemouth, France and California to Western
Samoa, where he discovers a row brewing up over the future of Stevenson's final resting place. He also discusses the influence of Stevenson's wife Fanny on his life and work.
