As part of the eighth season of Welsh Proms, held in St David's Hall, Cardiff, the BBC Concert Orchestra, led by Cynthia Fleming, is conducted by the Proms Artistic Director Owain Arwel Hughes in a special children's concert. Music by French composers, including Dukas's much loved Sorcerer's Apprentice, is featured in part one. The second half is devoted to a setting by Paul Patterson of Roald Dahl's version of Little Red Riding Hood.
