The three European club competitions reach the second-round stage tonight, with British interest in all of them. Scottish champions ABERDEEN carry the flag in the European Cup, as they play SERVETTE in Geneva.
In the Cup- Winners' Cup non-league BANGOR are at home to the mighty ATHLETICO MADRID, and they'll try to succeed where CELTIC failed.
DUNDEE UNITED and ST MIRREN are still in the UEFA Cup. United play VARDAR SKOPJE of Yugoslavia at Tannadice. ST MIRREN travel to Sweden to play HAMMARBY of Stockholm.
