England v Republic of Ireland Barry McGuigan v Farid Gallouze Presented by Ian Carnaby
The sprinting record between Wembley Stadium and Wembley Arena could well be broken tonight by Irish fans going to see their boxing idol Barry McGuigan defend his European title against
Frenchman Farid Gallouze. The fight is due to start just after 9.30, which gives the fans the chance to make that run from the stadium where the Republic of Ireland will have been playing England in a friendly international.
Following McGuigan's fight,
Heavyweight Frank Bruno will take on the former European Champion. Lucien Rodriguez. Peter Jones. Bryon Butler and Ron Greenwood commentate on the football and Ian Darke is at the ringside.
