* That Old Black Magic was put in a film at the very last minute and there wasn't anything about it that said it would be a hit. It took about 40 years for it to become a hit.' (HAROLD ARLEN ) ' I had to write a song about oats and horses. The name of the film was Purple Sage in the Twilight, so I wrote a song called Purple Sage in the Twilight. Tremendous hit.
