BEN OAKLAND: 'At the Ziegfeld Theatre he had a private office that he could open and none would see him. He could look down on the stage, and suddenly a voice would say " You fourth girl from the left, your seam is crooked ".'
RANDOLPH CARTER : ' He was quite a Hitler and he insisted also that the songs be written Immediately. Ziegfeld had trouble with everyone.'
