Taking her Lunchtime Social to a secret venue for an exclusive rooftop performance by a major artist.
BBC Music Live reaches its climax today. Everyone in the world - or Great Britain, or at any rate a few people down the pub - will join in vocal appreciation of a Perfect Day (10.00pm Radios 1,2,3,4 and 5 Live). Then the ranks of revellers at Woburn Abbey get treated to a live concert by Elton John (approx 10. 15pm R2). Should be massive.
Also today, efforts to bring different kinds of singing to a wider audience bear fruit, when Michael White introduces Opera in Action (4.00pm R3): one remarkable scheme uses the slogan "Take your parents to the opera!" And the eccentric and delicious collection of 100 Century Songs (2.50pm R3) concludes, which is possibly the only place where Victoria Wood meets Gyorgy Kurtag.
And remember to strap on your boots for The Vintage Book of Walking (9.45am R4 FM) - see our Programme of the Week on p 119. SG
