And Fergus Keeling dodges dive-bombing gulls, rotten eggs and guano to report on how the boom in mountaineering is affecting both our nesting birds and rare plants.

'If you think of a museum, you think of a building that looks like a Greek temple with pillars outside, and when you walk in you lower your voice and tread quietly and look at things in cases. That's going!'
Robert Hewison investigates the changing face and policy of museums in the British Isles and talks to directors and curators about the problems they have to tackle in order to preserve the past and encourage visitors to look to the future.
The programme will be followed by a phone-in when listeners can put questions to the two studio guests, Sir Roy Strong ,
Director of the Victoria & Albert Museum, and Professor Brian Morris , Chairman of the Museums and Galleries Commission.
