The Royal Observatory, Greenwich
This week JOHN SNAGGE visits the place which is synonymous with Greenwich Mean Time and the Prime Meridian of the world. The building was designed by Christopher Wren for, as he put it ' the observator's habitation and a little for pomp? ' Nowadays, it contains examples of chronometers, watches, electric clocks and also a modern atomic clock that is accurate to one second within more than 3000 years. Producer ROGER CLARK
